Very good food, service and ambiance. The interiors give you the vintage vibe. Spacious sitting. Plating was good. The lamb was cooked well and it was delicious. It's definitely a good place to visit around the area.

Came here for the name stayed for the friendly service warm atmosphere and good food! I had the carvery with two courses with my entree being the Panko crumbed Brie(amazing) and the roast being pork. I’ll be honest while all my food was very enjoyable, I was hoping all the trimmings might mean something a little bit more English and include things like Yorkshire pudding. But this was only a minor issue as my experience was one of warmth and good company and service. My dining buddies had the burger which from all reports was outstanding and cheesey garlic bread was a hit too. On my way out I decided to grab some jams and these are fantastic. This is a great hidden gem in the dandys

Good, but not great. Service was friendly, but very slow. Waited 20 minutes just to receive our drinks (table of 5) - and it was just basic beer and wine. Main meals were once again good, but not great. Deserts..... very disappointing. The restaurant was not busy - so I did expect meals to be better.

Great deco and nice food. Friendly services, reasonable price. A little walk around the garden after the meal is just fantastic.

It was my first visit here, it’s fabulous. We ordered from Christmas in July menu and everything was great. We didn’t have a booking but could get a nice table for two. The quality, the service, the atmosphere is No. 1 and I recommend here to anyone looking for a proper restaurant in the area.

The staff were friendly but as it was dead on a Saturday lunchtime the atmosphere was lacking, which I hope is unusual. The only cider on tap had run out and there was no designated bar area as there would be would be in a typical english pub which was disappointing. The cob loaf was nice but decided not to stay for a meal as it wasn’t what we were expecting, although the food looked good at the one other occupied table. The birdlife and gardens were beautiful. I would like to see this business tap into its potential.
